The M/S Paul Gauguin was built specifically to navigate the islands of French Polynesia, allowing divers to visit small ports and tropical islands that larger ships can’t reach.

The vessel offers divers an intimate experience, and her small size allows her to manoeuvre easily from the open ocean to tiny lagoons – more an extension of the destination than just a vessel of the seas.

The luxury ship is 156 metres in length with 166 stateroom cabins and suites, carrying 332 passengers and 215 crew on board, while the atmosphere on board radiates warmth, informality and a Polynesian flair. She sails from Tahiti throughout the year on a variety of seven, ten and 14 night cruises visiting Tahiti, the Society Islands and Tuamotus with the opportunity for some world-class diving, spectacular scenery and memorable land excursions. No other luxury ship in history has offered this level of single-destination focus and expertise on a year-round basis for such an extended period of time, making her the only true choice for anyone who wants to visit these very special islands.

The cabins are spacious and some have private balconies. All feature an ocean view, modern facilities and amenities including air-conditioning, TV, fridge and an en-suite bathroom. Facilities include three restaurants, three bars, a swimming pool, sun deck, Deep Nature Spa, fitness centre, boutique and casino. WiFi internet access is available in hotspot areas on board. Each trip offers an informal, relaxing environment coupled with 5* service comfort and luxury.

Diving is part of the retractable on board water sports Marina which also offers windsurfing and kayaking. Onboard is a fully licensed PADI certified dive operation and most dives are done from the accompanying zodiac, allowing access to some world-class sites around Moorea, Fakarava and Rangiroa – you will not be disappointed! Expect plenty of pristine, colourful reefs, exhilarating drift dives and plenty of marine life including sharks and manta rays. It’s also possible to learn to dive on board.
